We are planting 20 trees and about 30 bushes in the gardens. You might ask yourself. Trees are an essential part of any garden or landscape. They provide stability, structure and continuity. We often develop strong relationships with trees; they are with us throughout our lives. But it takes time for trees to grow to full maturity, so it\u2019s important to be proactive. And we have them in our memories. \u2018Trees that I have known\u2019, imagine if people were asked to tell these stories! All that we would hear, plucked from the hiding places of people\u2019s memories, about the whitebeam at the gate and the aspen in the meadow and the fragrant linden and the flowering cherry tree and the birches in the grove from where the cuckoo called.
