This is where she was born and spent her childhood. It was here that she heard the stories, met all the characters and spent time in the environments that later formed the basis of her books. It was at N\u00e4s that she climbed the lemonade tree and played \u2018got you\u2019 and \u2018don\u2019t touch the floor\u2019 with her siblings. Let\u2019s take it from the beginning &#8211; in November 1907, that\u2019s when I was born, in an old red house surrounded by apple trees, as the second child of the farmer Samuel August Ericsson and his wife Hanna, n\u00e9e Jonsson. The aim was to construct a building and create an exhibition depicting the life of Sweden&#8217;s most widely read and beloved author and the impact she had in various fields.
