It is difficult to give a clear answer as to how long a visit will take as it depends on what you are interested in. At the beginning of the 20th century, a little girl on the N\u00e4s farm hears the first story of her life. It sets her little childhood soul rocking, one that never quite comes to rest. As the girl, named Astrid, grows up, she continues to write to amuse the child she once was, with her words going on to influence people all over the world.\r\nIn the exhibition \u2018Astrid Lindgren and the Power of Stories\u2019 you can get to know Sweden\u2019s greatest children’s author but also get an understanding of the person she was outside the limelight. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

At Astrid Lindgren\u2019s N\u00e4s the major Astrid Lindgren exhibition is always available to view. Alongside this, we produce temporary exhibitions in the pavilion, in the vicarage and in the gardens. Our exhibitions deal with different perspectives on Astrid Lindgren\u2019s life and authorship or are linked to specific themes found in her books or that were otherwise important in her life.\u2018\r\n\r\n<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Visit Astrid Lindgren\u2019s childhood home<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Visiting Astrid Lindgren\u2019s childhood home is like travelling back in time. Everything is still there, just as it was when Astrid was little. The harmonium she never wanted to practise on, the beautiful cushion she embroidered, the bed she was born in. Astrid Lindgren returned here as often as she could throughout her long life.\r\nFrom May to September, we offer daily tours for groups of up to 12 people. To book a guided tour of Astrid Lindgren\u2019s childhood home at Astrid Lindgren\u2019s N\u00e4s, you must first purchase an entrance ticket to the park.\r\n<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The gardens at Astrid Lindgren\u2019s N\u00e4s are encompassed in a garden park created with inspiration from Astrid Lindgren\u2019s life and writing. Here and there in the garden are iron books to read. Together they form the story loop \u2018A Soul in Flux\u2019. Each book expands on the story of N\u00e4s farm and Astrid Lindgren\u2019s strong ties to the place.
