I will never forget this
Year 5 students at Nydalaskolan School in Malmö share stories from their lives in words and pictures. ‘I will never forget this’ is a book that depicts what it is like to be a child in Sweden today. The children write about their memories, big and small, humorous, sad, dramatic, strange and scary.
A creative collaboration for children’s voices
The project ‘I will never forget this’ is an initiative by children’s author and illustrator Marit Törnqvist in collaboration with Nydalaskolan School, Helamalmö, author Nicolas Lunabba, and artist Kim Demåne.
Exhibition at Astrid Lindgren’s Näs
The children’s book was presented on 1 March 2024 at Nydalaskolan School and photographer Ikram Abdulkadir was present. From 17 April to 29 June, the original photos and stories will be exhibited in the garden house at Astrid Lindgren’s Näs
It is a gift to hear these children’s stories. To see them capture the scariest of memories in colour and put into words the love they feel for life. I love this book. The fact that it will now reach readers all over Sweden could not make me prouder.
