We welcome you and your school class to visit Astrid Lindgren’s Näs and experience our exhibitions and gardens for yourselves. The gardens
Of course, you can visit us and just stroll around and explore our gardens, where there are plenty of opportunities to play and to let your imagination go. In the various garden rooms, created based on themes from Astrid Lindgren’s life, you can be inspired by Astrid Lindgren’s approach to nature, the joy and power of creativity, play and solemnity.
In the Woodshed, you can view the film about how the story ‘Emil in Lönneberga’ came to be, which also shows what it looks like inside the childhood home. You can also see a model of Näs farm and how it looked in the early 1900s.
Through the story loop ‘A Soul in Flux’, consisting of 8 iron books located in the park, you can learn more about how Näs as a place is linked to Astrid Lindgren’s life, stories, thoughts and values.
If you wish to bring your own lunch, you are welcome to eat it in the gardens but not on our outdoor terrace. There are benches around the park to sit on and blankets are available to borrow.
