ASTRID LINDGREN´S CHILDHOOD HOME
In our gardens lies Astrid Lindgren’s childhood home, on the land that once belonged to the farm Näs. To this day, Astrid Lindgren’s nieces live here at Näs. Since the childhood home is a private home, it can only be visited with a guided tour together with one of our guides.
Guided tours
Join us on a guided tour and go back in time to when Astrid Lindgren grew up here at Näs together with her three siblings, parents and many others who worked on the farm. The childhood home was restored by Astrid Lindgren herself in the 1960s, as she remembers it from her childhood. This is where Astrid Lindgren’s own story begins.
The childhood home is privately owned and can only be visited through a guided tour.
Accessibility:
We offer guided tours for a maximum of 12 people with an age limit of 8 years. The guided tour takes about 45 minutes and is experienced standing up. Due to steps and narrow doorways, wheelchairs and walkers cannot be brought into the childhood home.
