Visit Astrid Lindgren’s childhood home
During the guided tour, we travel back to the time when Astrid Lindgren grew up here at Näs, together with her three siblings, parents, and the many others who worked on the farm. This is where Astrid Lindgren’s own story begins. The childhood home is privately owned by Astrid Lindgren’s nieces and can only be visited with a guided tour.
Guided tours
From May to September, we offer daily guided tours for groups of up to 12 people. The minimum age is 8 years.
To book a guided tour of Astrid Lindgren’s childhood home at Astrid Lindgren’s Näs, you must first purchase an entrance ticket to the site.
Languages
Tours are available in Swedish, German, and English.
Accessibility
The guided tour is limited to 12 participants and has a minimum age of 8 years.
It lasts approximately 45 minutes and takes place standing.
Due to stairs and narrow doorways, wheelchairs and walkers cannot be brought into the childhood home.
Price
Entrance ticket with guided tour:
Ages 8–14: SEK 300 per person
Ages 15–64: SEK 415 per person
From 65 years: SEK 365 per person

– Admission to the exhibition Astrid Lindgren and the Power of Storytelling, and our temporary exhibitions.
– Access to the gardens at Astrid Lindgren’s Näs.
– A guided tour of Astrid Lindgren’s childhood home.
If you have already purchased an entrance ticket online via our ticket shop, you can pre-book your guided tour and pay for it separately upon arrival.

Please note: If you have not pre-booked your ticket and wish to purchase it on site, the guided tour may be fully booked or held in German or English instead of Swedish.
If you would like to join a German or English tour, this is possible at the designated times, provided that the Swedish tour slot has not already been booked.
