Going by train is both relaxing and climate friendly. And once you arrive, you’ll be well rested and ready for a new and exciting adventure – because visiting Astrid Lindgren’s Näs is like travelling backwards in time, to the place where it all began.
The train makes two stops in Vimmerby, one at Astrid Lindgren’s World’s station and one at Vimmerby station. It’s approximately a 15-20 minutes walk by foot to Astrid Lindgren’s Näs, regardless of which station you choose.
You can leave smaller bags in our lockable cabinets and if you travel with heavier luggage you can ask for help at the ticket office.

From the north you can reach Vimmerby via Linköping on road 23.
From the south you can reach Vimmerby via Målilla on road 23.
From the west you can reach Vimmerby via Eksjö on road 40.

Our parking lot is only for visiting guests during our opening hours, camping vans can park here subject to availability.
Bus tours
Our parking lot for buses are located across the road to Astrid Lindgen’s Näs. You can drop of your passengers on the same side as the entrance to Astrid Lindgren’s Näs before parking on the opposite side.
NOTE! Camping vans are not allowed to park at our bus stop, that’s for bus tours only.
